Features of "Nanohana Piano" lessons

I have been teaching piano for over 30 years in Kobe, Nishinomiya, Hanshin area, Sanda, and Awaji Island.
I mainly give on-site private lessons.
Supports a wide range of demographics
I work with students ranging in age from 3 to 90 years old, and I teach in English to foreign students. Depending on the student's mood, I try to raise the tension, be more detailed, or be more relaxed. I try to lift up the student from the bottom, not from the top as a teacher, and give the student confidence. I try to encourage the students' love of music and desire to play the piano, and I try to make it enjoyable. My piano lesson goal is to bring out the individuality of each student, to discover strengths that they may not have realized, to transform them into joy, and to bring a wonderful smile to their faces together.
Priority is given to the student's wishes.
For qualification acquisition, winner of the competition, just love music, use of the piano at home, prevention of dementia, brain rejuvenation or other purposes, various people take my piano lessons. I am very creative and value the imagination of each student. I give always priority to the wishes of my students for new ideas for classical, popular, and jazz arrangements, and so on.

I started piano lessons when I was in my 50's. When I was over 60, I collapsed due to exhaustion from caring for my family.
I lost the use of one of my hands. The pain of not being able to move my hand freely kept me at home. I received monthly letters of encouragement from my piano teacher, and we sometimes went out to eat cake together.
I felt her warmth and resumed lessons. Little by little, I was able to move my hand, and I am glad that I had piano lessons with this piano teacher. I started playing the piano at the age of 70 because I longed to do so. After I turned 80, I was hospitalized several times, but my desire to play Schubert Chopin's music and the kindness of my teacher allowed me to continue. My goal was to play until I was 90, but it became necessary to change my attitude toward life. I will continue to train my brain with the knowledge you have taught me. I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kind guidance over the years. The child is restless, and as soon as he thinks he has sat down in a chair, he gets up and starts doing something. He went to several other teachers, but they were reluctant to help him. The lessons with my current teacher have helped my child spend more time in the chair and his expression has become brighter. The father of Samuel is Japanese. As his mother, I do not understand much Japanese as I am not a former Japanese. My son has brain damage. He has spontaneous behavior. He does not go to a typical Japanese school, but is home-schooled. Daily life is almost entirely in English. During piano lessons, even if I, the mother, do not enter the room, my son is able to open up to his teacher, speaks English, and plays the piano in a fun atmosphere.
My son looks so energetic after the lesson. I work in a nursing home. I am healthy now, but my work has made me think ahead and I started playing the piano.
Although I am slowly improving my piano skills, my teacher is patient and attentive to my pace. She also listens carefully to what I have to say. It is a good stimulus for my daily life and I enjoy the time I spend with her. I play the piano slowly with a gentle tone. It's OK to take it slow. I would be happy if I could play familiar and nostalgic songs. Very slow progress, but I enjoyed taking lessons in Kobe. After retirement, I moved to my hometown in Hokkaido. I will continue to play the piano. At my last lesson, my teacher played "Imagine" and "Ellie". My goal is to be able to play in front of people somewhere someday. I would like you to listen to my music when I come to Kobe. I like mountain climbing, and I showed her the sunrise from the top of the mountain, thunderbirds, and other precious photos.
On a separate note, the teacher's birthday bird was a "sparrow".
The mother, well aware of her daughter's love of music, wanted to re-start lessons at Nanohana Piano after a two-year blank. If you are interested, please apply for a free trial lesson.Student Testimonials
